Since when did Facebook become a poster for what we believe? Lemme - TopicsExpress

Since when did Facebook become a poster for what we believe? Lemme give you some advice... If you wanna make a difference in the world LIVE YOUR LIFE AS THE EXAMPLE AND STOP HIDING BEHIND A COMPUTER SCREEN. Its easy to post a controversial status and sign out. It not so easy to say that same thing to someones face with the same outcome. Why? Because Facebook isnt real life. Its media life. Chances are your views are only felt by you and your friends. So, posting to Facebook (people who already know your stance) and getting your 2 or 3 likes is really only reiterating your views to people who already know them. But if you were to take that status or view point and bring it up at a dinner party would it get the same reaction? No. Because in real life we cant instantly block bigoted one sided people with a click of a button. We can, however, shoot down your ego and ideology that you are the superior being and we are all living in your boring world. News flash: THAT IS NOT THE CASE. So do yourself a favor and stop making Facebook a political and biblical battleground. Its not welcomed in public conversation and its not welcomed here. Didnt your mothers and fathers teach you the golden rule of public decency? Never, under any circumstance, talk about religion or politics unless you are absolutely certain everyone is on your side. And let me assure you, everyone is not always on your side. So leave your preaching to your pastors and your politics to the men and woman in Washington or yourself because we have NO room or like for them here.
