Singapore has one of the World largest income inequality gap. This - TopicsExpress

Singapore has one of the World largest income inequality gap. This is not something unique in the world, however it seems we are importing this problem with our government not recognizing that not all its citizens are equip with relevant skill sets face in the increasing global outlook-ed economy. While FTs are not here to settle, with technology they maintain an active line to their home country. There is no need for them to adapt and adopt to local culture and practice. They do not grow roots and settle here, they are here today and probably be gone when the winds take them. Government has to be more progressive and recognize technology is dictating our lives and start using it to level the playing fields. They need to go back to the niche that Singapore always had - a well educated work force in new technology. Its higher risk to get into new technology but calculated risk wil always yeild higher returns. In short - less blood sucking bankers n shifty red tapes ministers, MORE engineers and entrepreneurs.
