SingaporeAhSeng: July 20, 2013 at 9:37 pm (Quote) Hey, I know this hospital. The non slip tiles should not even be a variation . It was part of the scope of the lump sum contract. So, why is the AGC allowing even payment at all. The contractor, which is a Korean contractor employs a lot of FT. 2 of my reservist men recently resigned from that project because they were constantly abused by the Korean GM. They were humiliated daily, abused verbally daily, and so they decided to throw in their resignation letter, as they know that it was not the quality of their work but a hidden agenda by the Koreans. They also have a 82 year old British on employment pass, Brian, who stays in JB and drives company sponsored car and petrol to work. He also tries to sarkar the Korean GM to keep his job of contracts manager and is on good terms with those clients he submitted the variation payment claims. He should be stopped immediately. The company colleagues belives that the Korean GM is trying to kick out the Singaporeans so that he can extend the employment pass of the 82 year old, and bring in more Koreans and other FT in the new Jurong east hospital project and the New Marina Bay development projects. So, why is MOM and MOHH allowing this company to get public funded billions dollars projects while the Korean GM is abusing and forcing Singaporeans to leave? Is there a local content requirement in the contracts or tender documents.? Go to Australia, England and even Malaysia. Their governments will demand that companies showed they have employed their locals first before employing foreigners. So , why is our Singapore government allowing our Singaporeans to be abused in the workplace , and allow 82 year old British to take over a Singaporean job ? Can CPIB investigate all their unverified money claims? Are there kickbacks, because no one pays a claim in the construction industry that is not a variation order? Can MOM investigate why an 82year old british can take over the job of a Singaporean in his early forties?
