Singing the praises of Kaiser Permanente again! Clean slate after a colonoscopy at the Rock Creek facility this afternoon. The Dr. and team with me were hip. I asked for the light sedative and pain control meds during so that I could watch the activity on the big screen, which I did - all of it. There was some slight discomfort and pressure because of the choice I made, but Id do it again. A very professional yet relaxed atmosphere in which we were all trading jokes during the exam. With my Kaiser plan this exam is considered preventative medicine, so the charge to me is $00.00. The 1.5 day personal prep is pretty wild, man, a gallon of Gavilyte to drink, in spurts, in combination with Dulcolax (biszcodyl), nothing to eat and nothing to drink unless it could be held up to the light and seen through, and contain no pulp. Wheeeeeeeeeee... I got an A+ for presenting a clean colon to be examined, because of lots of this...
