Sir. Tesla was born on July 10, 1856 in Smiljan, Croatia. From an early age showed an exceptional talent for mathematics. Tesla worked as an electrical engineer and then emigrated (1884) to the United States, and became USA citizen. He worked with Thomas Edison designing motors and generators, but Tesla left to devote himself exclusively to experimental research and invention. In 1888, he had his first practical system design for generating and transmitting Alternating Current [AC] for electric power systems. The Engine developed an alternating current induction, eliminating the commutator and brushes power of Direct Current [DC] motors, and he made improvements in the field of energy generation and transmission of alternating current, noting that both the generation and transmission of the same could be obtained in a much more effective with an alternating current in the case of DC, the most commonly used at that time. In 1893, he designed a wireless communication system and antenna built more than 30 meters high, the Wardencliff Tower, with which he tried to transmit electrical energy without wires, with the same operating principle as the radio. He patented more than 700 inventions like electric submarine in 1898, a small ship that would capture Wardencliff energy emitted by the Tower could be stored in batteries. According to some scientists Serbs, the Sojourner operating system is based on a patent electric submarine designed by Tesla. In 1893, before the first flight of the Wright brothers tested a prototype of the first vertical takeoff aircraft. Tesla refused to a Noble Prize in 1915. In 1915 Reuters reported from London, unofficially, that Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison would share the Nobel Prize in Physics that year. Numerous media around the world published this story as true. However, the distinction has never been received by either of these scientists. Nobody knows the real story, but many believe that Nikola Tesla refused to accept the award. The SI unit of magnetic flux intensity is the TESLA so named in his honor.
