Sissy is home. For the night at least. We are supposed to see how we make it through the evening. All of our info is with the nearest Pet ER in case we need to go back for the iv fluids. The cause of her dehydration had something to do with age, the way some dogs digestive system works and potentially all the meds she was on for her other issues from earlier this year (tumors, bronchitis, arrhythmia, pyometria) Shes had a TOUGH YEAR. And shes a tough cookie. Without getting into too many gross details she was throwing up *from both ends* and the stuff coming out the bottom is very icky but once gets better and I can get her eating and drinking on her own she might not have to go back til Monday. Were just doing this one day/hour/minute at a time. thanks for all the love and thoughts and kindness and the amazing way youve all been there for us. Been very scary but I take comfort that were not doing this alone. PS...she came home from doctor with over 15 pages of instructions for food and more medicine and natural and recipes. oh boy.
