Sister MariYah Arielle Merola Shared: Somebody asked me what is wrong with Psychology. For those of you who do not know, Psychology originates with the worship of “Psyche” the Greek goddess of the mind. Back in the 1980’s when I was first “born-again” by the blood of the Lamb, I witnessed many Christian Churches teaching so-called “Christian Psychology.” I knew that there was something inherently wrong with this concept, because I had just been delivered out of the world and from dabbling with the occult, witchcraft, horoscopes, and other “psychic phenomenon.” I found a book at the Library at that time entitled “The Root’s of Psychology from Socrates to Freud” and that is when my suspicions were confirmed. Psychology is pagan. You cannot blend paganism with the true faith of our Messiah. Psychology teaches “loving yourself” and “self-esteem.” But what does scripture teach in contrast? Philippians 2:3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each ESTEEM OTHERS BETTER THAN THEMSELVES. 2nd Timothy 3: 1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be LOVERS OF THEIR OWN SELVES, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of Elohiym; 5 having a form of righteousness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
