Sister magazine Car is carrying details of Aston Martins latest plans for the Lagonda brand, but heres something from the past. This 1939 Lagonda V12 Saloon, one of just 189 built before the outbreak of World War Two halted production, was built for Lagondas managing director, Dick Watney. Its a well-travelled car – its been to Australia and back – and is now presented or sale at Bonhams Goodwood Festival of Speed sale at the end of this week. With an estimate of £80,000 to £100,000 – a good deal less than the new car is likely to be. We think this would be a good car for a long trip to a vineyard, wouldnt you agree?
