Sisters/acrylic on canvas/16 x 20/2013. One aspect of my work,aside from obvious visual manipulation,must come from years of working with the public {home decor related} and communicating with sisters, best friends, mother/daughters on a daily basis.The distortions relate to self-image issues {often distorted,right?} and the colors and hairstyles are often out of some outer-space salon. There is also the twin sister aspect of most of the paintings.....or it could be two views of the same woman....Ill leave that open for now.
