Sisters and Brothers I feel the need to vent. From the time I began trying to empower I accepted that there would be resistance. Ppl leave messages asking for different levels of help. I try to do what I can when I can. However once again the help is not appreciated. Ronnie Long deserves a new trial. However North Carolina is not willing to do the right thing. His biggest supporter is Ashleigh Marie. You are encouraged to pursue Ms Marie if you feel you can help. I have come to a different conclusion. I have spoken with Mr Long. I find him to be wrongly convicted. However after reaching out and finding resources to help him Ms Marie decided to not allow me to speak directly with him without her prior knowledge of the subject matter. This is disturbing because his freedom should be most important. With respect to her feelings for him I find her to be a liability to his ultimate freedom. NC is deep in the New Jim Crow. Ms Marie was very pushy and condescending towards me due to a business opportunity that I was not interested in personally. However she was told that she could use the page to promote so she would be able to better help Ronnie Long. This goes against my reason for starting the page or the group. It is not for pyramid scams or sales of any kind. It is to awaken and inform those that truly want to see social change. My personal feeling is Ms Marie is not willing to allow any assistance to Mr Long that she does not control. Sound familiar? The Panther Party would never allow her to dictate policy. I encourage those that wish to help do so at their own leisure. We however will not be bullied or told how to help by anyone. Ms Marie is a white woman that really does not understand Black ppl. She is passionate about his release but I feel she will be the reason he will not be treated fairly in NC. I will continue to speak his name. However the Panther Party and Ms Marie are no longer connected in any way. We will continue to grow regardless. And we will continue to answer the call.
