Sitaram to all. This week I have seen the demise of some persons who were very close to me and I want to extend condolences to the following families. Firstly ,to my God daughter Allison Singh who lost her aunt.Secondly ,to my dearest child Reena Ramsaran on the lost of her sister.Thirdly,the Sookwah and Ramdial family in particular the Mother of my Ashram tanty Batie on the passing of Uncle. I have given much thought to how many persons understand death and in the next couple day will share with you my thoughts on the HIndu View. point on the concept of death. Part 1------- To me death is a basic feature of existence and while the ability to reflect on death is unique to the human being ,somehow we ignore its reality.To many we rearly think about the certainty of death.But strangely enough ,it is the realization of the certainty of death that lends extra ordinary clarity to the meaning of life. Death reveals to us all the temporary nature of all those things to which we cling so passionately and which we must eventually let go off. The burden of life becomes lighter with the realization that nothing really belongs to us.The awareness of death can reorient our sense of values to that which is true and ultimate and lasting.Contemplating death,far from being a morbid experience ,can truly be a enlightening one.
