Site seein wit the Author: I got laugh again, i am reading the suspence/horror part againbook. M laughin because, he managed to make it sound more homely, and african; not nigerian though! I got to say, this boy is sick, i will qoute, perhaps you will also know this place.... Extract(Intimidation/Pet cemetery)P 156 ..Mateo was to be burried that friday evening; it was customary for such burial in his clan, and only a part of such clan could be laid thre under big shades of Bamboo-like trees, peacefully. He was to be burried next to his great grand mother near Mapate village. The Ligege sacred ground stood under a tip of the mountain, and people who lived in neighbouring villages, gave it an eerie name. Legend spoke a science that was complex for educated ones to understand; it is very unique in such a way that, only the chosen ones were allowed to venture in there. The story was told all over the villages nearby that, the mountain LUKANGO provided much neededed shadow to many sacred places. The sun only sets closer below the tip, and turned the rest of the earths surface chillier in summer. The huge trees and the sister earth on the east, blotted the rays, and made it a little dark in broad day light. From a distance, the western earth showed a face with a ht, that gave an extra shade to the Ligege sacred ground. Strict protocol and rules that govern that site had little compromises; not even for feathery nature itself. It was always silent and unobtrusive; those who surveyed the place from a distance, couldnt give conclusive report on the overall tone or mode of its biodiversity. One would think the green trees would make it an eligible home to different animals, but even birds were voiceless, nor could be seen flying overthe cap. It was also hard to tell if such animal form existed;Na musi ni mueni afho mutani, zwi fanela uri zwi vhigiwe Thavhani. the voices of the wind further told a story of a mythical creature that had more than one form, and chnged to different kinds, depending on mood, attitude and temper of the atmosphere. Three forms of animals were fairly known, and often left a lot to imagine when Dronky tried to articulate each. 1st, a form of hominid primate, which gave a bit of clarity from pieces i put together from evolution. It could date back to Australopithecus Africanus era, with features of both human and ape in terms of activities in did randomly. He also said that the sound of a drum and ululations that echoed in neighbouring villages, mostly @ midnight, could be clearly traced to the mountain; it was strongly belived that the music was a courtesy of that ape-human creature. Apparently the drum always played few days prior to a death of a clan member; it seemed like the same thing materialized prior to Mateos demise, and then stopped the night before word came out that the boy was no more: the reason was to prepare for the boys home comming to his ancestors. 2nd form/forms: word had it that, an outside was given a direct order, not to over step the first boundary, but his curious mind led him further past the line, which was still a bit distant from a sacred ground, until bees bigger than wasps had to intervened. They drove him back to where he was before curiosity kicked in, with large visible stings on an expensive face. The bees were know to be vicious, yet merciful; their job was not meant to eradicate that perpatrator, but to reprimand the public of R.E.S.P.E.C.T for other people tradition. 3rd and last form was thought to be an executioner. When bees han failed to sustain boundries to a curious mind, it would avail itself for one reason only: not to reason, warn nor stop trespassers, but to take the curious mind further down to the underworld, without a return ticket; victims were never seen again. Aan intresting folk tale of its cruel nature, talked of a white explorer from Portugal. He had a big farm nearby that he wante to expand further in the early 1900. He was trapped in there with a tractor, after countless warnings by his illitrate plaas kafirs. The Serpent was thought to be huge, 10 metres of muscles and sychic venom that painlessly paralyzed all human sensed except that of vision, when it crossed a dark path with its gaze on; just to please the victims curiosity for the last time, when it took that person to the undying land.......
