Sitting at a Starbucks in sunny Vancouver and thinking of Neil and Ferdi and day 60 which also already dawned in Indonesia. Lots of daily posts which continue to illustrate the love and support that these two incredible men have worldwide. I had a message from a life long friend today asking for an update. While I cant wait for the day to share better news, at this point the assumption is an extension will be granted for another 30 days of detention. The Police continue their investigation and they will not be pushed. While we see the blatant abuse of due process, and the complete fabrication of these allegations, the actions by the Police have forced themselves into a corner, from which we must graciously let them emerge from. Frustration, angry and the incomprehension of all of this swirl around. Ultimately the truth with emerge and with it, Neil and Ferdi. Until that time, a strong resolve, love, faith and support will light our way. Please be assured that numerous activities continue in the background, and while those are empty words without proof of action, you have my guaranty that we are making progress. Progress is not always linear or exponential, but it is progress and we need to continue our fight with strength and dignity. Neil and Ferdi deserve nothing less. On Day 60, light one white candle, say a prayer, and hug your loved ones. On behalf of Janet Del Col, my children Aidan Bantleman and Rachel Bantleman, my parents Honey and Hugh, the rest of our family, and of course Neil and Tracy, thank you for your ongoing love and support.
