Sitting here at the airport waiting to go home from my 6 day trip to Midvale Utah. I had a great time and was shown a lot of hospitality. Special thanks to Yoder Smokers and Herb for supplying me with their great pits. Its so nice to be able to cook on what you know when youre flying in to a cook-off. And Herb your help was invaluable, you made my life easier on many levels. James Parr and the IMBBQA were great hosts and got everything arranged and made it all happen. Great event!! All of the businesses who supplied product for Swamp Boys BBQ School, including Big Poppa Smokers, Bad Byrons Butt Rub, 3 Eyz BBQ, Baxters Original, Simply Marvelous, SRF, and Oakridge BBQ. Then for Swamp Boys team add in Butcher BBQ Injections, Grizzly Coolers, Wicked Que, GoConcepts, and WH AAMCO. Im very thankful to you all. I had a blast getting to meet and know everyone who came out for my class. Thanks for coming and I hope you were all able to take away some helpful techniques. Some mighty fine people and I look forward to seeing and hearing about your progress! Disappointed in myself for not getting my butts or briskets up to their usual, that cost me big time. Missed winning GC by 1.3 points. On the bright side I am the proud new owner of 3 original Pirate 50 Custom Artwork and Trophies pieces. Happy with 3rd overall on the other side of the country with borrowed gear. Thanks for the great times Utah!
