Sitting here in the Lobby of Bridgeway just praying and relaxing and I realized how thankful I am for the Community of Faith. Gods church has given me life in multiple contexts...in a military town (Clarksville First) ...in a small awesome town (Erin) ...in a new town that I am falling in love with (Pekin). In each setting the church has been consistent, full of love, passion, and devotion to Jesus and others. In each setting Ive been enriched by the witness to the Kingdom. In every setting Ive learned and am learning new things of Gods grace. The church has taken my hand led me out of destructive living, toward love of others, through the grief of loss, into missional environments, stood alongside of me in struggle and given me great stories of wonderful friendships that Id never had otherwise. In each context Ive been able to be part of the community and not just pastor. In each community Ive become a more faithful version of me within Gods purposes. That is thanks to the community. I love Gods people for loving a broken sinner such as I, for loving me enough to not leave me there, and for extending me grace when Ive come up short. Thank you church and thank you church for not only being the church for me, but for being the church who stands on behalf of the least, the last, and the lost.
