Sitting here patiently, I get to thinking (never a great idea)... ☺️. I truly believe that SHARPs should be MRT qualified. I think they should be required to receive quarterly decompression counseling. As an advocate of an ever changing SHARP program, which by the way is leaps and bounds in its growth. I often wonder if the other advocates that have felt the vicarious trauma or the compassion fatigue truly reach out to empower themselves to stay in the fight with the energy they started with. Its imperative that we take care of ourselves. We are our brothers and sisters keepers and to be effective we have to know the signs.
