:Sitting here sewing up mosquito netting for the bed. Both exciting (because its new) and annoying (eff you, mosquitoes). Its giving me time to contemplate how in just a few short days, it feels like Ive been part of this family my whole life. They treat me as such. Last night, as I was cooking dinner, maa gave me a set of earrings baba had made for her before he died. The fact that it was something so personal... I hugged her. And cried. I feel like theyre my flesh and blood. Id do ANYTHING for them. My niece, Turin, came in because she was excited I was letting her help cook. I pre-measured everything, but she put it in. Such a sweet girl (shes 7. Thought she was 8 but not yet). Also- Ive discovered that auto-rickshaws should only be ridden on an empty stomach. Lunch was right in the back of my throat by the end of it. I BARELY swallowed it back down. I dont even get sick on really rocky corkscrew waves on small boats no matter how long Im on them. But these things? Had the ride been 10 minutes instead of 5, Id have been bent over on the sidewalk area.
