Sitting here thinking about my fathers. My father and father in - TopicsExpress

Sitting here thinking about my fathers. My father and father in law were born on the same day. Their absence is felt today and everyday in my life. My father was an amazing man and I could talk to him about anything. He died the year before my breast cancer diagnosis in 2009 but my father in law called me every week just to make me know that he was thinking about me and praying for me. Their absence makes me consider the state of families today even more. My parents and parents in law were married until death parted them. I am sure that they were not all great moments but they managed to make it work. It was real too, not phony or just getting by but they were committed to learning to live and love together respectfully. I often ponder my own unsuccessful marriage and wonder what I missed. I had great examples when growing up, not perfect but real and genuine. At what point did I stop paying attention to what I needed to know about loving and who I allowed to love me. Whatever the case, Ive known great men and I am hopeful. HBD Missing Oscar L. Bradley - #BradleygirlforLife HBD Missing Ross Blue - #Bluegirlandproud
