Sitting here with this sweet angel of mine doing school work. I watch her and soak it all in as she is so eager to learn! I gaze at her little bald head that I know Ill actually miss one day. I cant believe the time that has already flown by! She started day 1 of Interim Maintenance II yesterday, and is doing awesome! She shared a room with her new little friend, Jaxson, and Justin and I had a nice visit with Jaxsons sweet parents. Then she made her usual rounds down the hallway to the other rooms where she painted toenails with Claire and visited with Charlotte. She also got to pass out these beanies for baldies made by a cancer survivor that sweet Sharon brought back from Tennessee! Victoria was invited by Nathan Elam and the football team of Champion High School to be their Homecoming Queen and to ride on the float in the homecoming parade. Unfortunately we had to pass because this momma has started to become more nervous of all the illnesses going around since we just got over the weird pneumonia thing! Victoria has so been looking forward to this and was disappointed that it wasnt going to happen, so yes I took her shopping. The first thing out of her mouth the following morning was, But Mom, Could Nathan maybe come over for dinner one night? And I wonder if hes still going to get me a blankie since I didnt get to be the homecoming queen? I reassured her that Im sure if he told her he was getting her a blanket, then he probably would and that having him over for dinner sometime sounds like a great idea! She just grinned with those big blue eyes. I didnt even tell anyone about our conversation and that very same day at school, The Nathan delivered a beautiful soft Champion football blanket to Macy (Victorias sister) at school to give to Victoria! Talk about one happy little girl!!!!! She hasnt went a single place yet without this blanket!!! Thank you Nathan Elam! Nathan is the young gentleman who walked Victoria out onto the football field when she was chosen as player of the game, and theres something about Nathan that has taken a permanent spot in Victorias big heart. And thank you all for the continued prayers! We continue to be blessed by Gods faithfulness and the love and prayers from family and friends! ~xoxo Cristi
