Sitting here wondering how to work and go on with life when at any moment there could be a Code Red siren and I have to grab Guiness and run down 4 flights of stairs to the bomb shelter. Last time I didnt make it out of the house before there was a very loud boom. With my hands shaking and my heart pounding I stand and wait in a room full of strangers and try to understand what they all are saying (my Hebrew is better, but stress makes it harder). And it breaks my heart to realize that so many people out there in the world think that I and my fellow Israelis are the evil ones. We work so hard to protect life, ALL LIFE, and they are working so hard (self professed) to destroy all Israeli life (and they dont care if they destroy their own people in the process). My heart breaks again to see them celebrate on the streets when they send a big rocket to Tel Aviv. To see them laugh and sing and dance because they were told (a lie) that they hit Tel Aviv and killed a lot of Israelis. My heart breaks to see that the world condemns Israel for defending itself against terrorism, but doesnt even care about what is going on in Syria for example. It is very hard, but I love this land and what it stands for and I will support her forever. I pray for the safety of the soldiers who are working hard to make it impossible for Hamas to have any threat over us. I pray for all of us trying to go on with our lives amidst the rockets that Hashem continue protecting us in the amazing ways he has during all this. I pray that the world wake up and start realizing that supporting Israel is supporting truth, justice and democracy. Hashem keep us strong in this time!
