Sitting in a Taxi and waiting for the rest of the passengers, I - TopicsExpress

Sitting in a Taxi and waiting for the rest of the passengers, I just witnessed the impatience of man vis a vis the frustration and the challenges of nature and the citys life. A private driver stopped for a taxi entering the main road and as usual all the cars behind the private car started their usual behaviour on the road by blowing their horns and some as usual started their name calling bisiness As soon as the taxi had the chance to cross over and no sooner did the private car move did we hear the usual shout of Jesus, Jesus,Jesus. A Kia Truck has just failed its break and has cross over to the other lane narrowly missing the private car. What a generation of impatient society have we become? We are rushing in everything we do and never get anywhere. For me, the sad thing is the way we are even rushing our children and not allowing them time to grow. In our rush to go to no where, we end up not hearing the inner voice of God in us; what we call our CONSCIENCE. Had that driver not given way to that taxi we would have recorded another fatal accident once again and as usual would have been news for some days and forgotten about as soon as the corpses and damaged cars were romoved from the road without any proper investigation done into the cause of the accident to prevent its occurrence. Also as usual, it would have been another opportunity to put more money intp the pocket of some institutions that are supposed to see to our safety on our roads. Hmmm!!!! Have Mercy on us oh Lord!!!!
