Sitting in my beloved back yard this AM having a cigar and coffee - one of my favorite things. Im exhausted - physically, mentally and emotionally. The busy summer is nearly complete. Greeley Stampede, Estes Park Rooftop Rodeo and Cheyenne Frontier Days are over. They are all amazing events and provide awesome entertainment for those who attend and needed economic stimuli for the committees and communities that host them. They are incredibly taxing for me and my co-workers. We get wrapped up in the moment and sometimes lose sight of whats important about these events for my organization. Hell, I even yelled at a guy last night. Yelled at a guy?!? I never yell. I was an unprofessional tool and I need to get on the phone tomorrow, hat in hand (metaphorically, I dont wear hats at work), and apologize. After a full nights sleep, a Perdomo Champagne Reserve and a pot of coffee, clarity comes and it re-dawns on me why my life is incredibly blessed: Every day I get to crack a mic, crack a joke and laugh with Sadie and a group of six listeners that have become a family. At these busy events we get to see that family and share that laugh in person. Thanks for being there everyday. Talk to you tomorrow.
