Sitting in my porch this morning as roofing contractor team of three guys, none of whom apparently speak the same language and two of whom clearly do not like each other, are trying to parallel-park two vans in front of my house. One will park a van perfectly adequately, the other will yell at him (in Russian, which the one guy doesnt speak) and then get in the van and move it up six inches, or pull it out and re-park it (reverse signal beep beep beep...) exactly two inches closer to the curb than it was. The neutral guy is directing this, but the Russian driver will still get out, check his position relative to the curb, get back in, move van two inches, and so on. This has been going on for 40 minutes and is fascinating. And THEN they start pulling out the ladders to climb on the neighbors roof, three stories above. I dont think I can go to the studio today.
