Sitting out here by the creek, the water is glass, and either just witnessed a mini-sub go by underwater or a manatee or gator. Whatever it was had pushed up a heck of a wake from its invisible position under the water. It moved up the creek against the outgoing tide and as I watched it continue, with the early morning sun casting a beam of light through the Spanish moss, I saw it breach the surface momentarily, but it was too far away to really tell what it was. Though I didnt see the tell tale sign of a swooping tail of a gator...so, Im tentatively saying manatee. Ive seen one before in this creek. Very cool.
