Sitting out on the deck watching the deer and listening to the frogs and crickets, some if not both crying for rain. They will surely get it cause they say bad weather due to hit here around Nashville in a few hours and a cool front. They say the highs will stay in the 80s now. It is a full moon again tonight and very quite around here outside. You can hear the barge out on the The Cumberland River. This kinda evening makes me remember growing up on the ranch in Texas only back then we didnt have the internet or laptops to tke outside. Cell phones to lose. The phones we had were one line shared by many families called aparty line :) Was no party to it. Pick up the phone if another family was on it had to hang up and wait till they were off and you heard a dial tone. Everyone knew every ones business :) It is still that way about everyone into everyone elses business but not done by ease dropping on a party line . Life was much simpler back then. Sitting here listening to all this takes me back to the simpler times and I have to smile. Country Music was very strong then too. On trail rides it would be blaring from wagons as we road down the roads horseback to reach our destination and the barn dance that would end the days events. I havent made a trail ride in years, but it still holds true that I am still listening to great Country Music. Mostly Ronnie Dunn :) after all he is the true essence of the word Country Music :)
