Situated inconspicuously in the outer Orion Arm of the Milky Way Galaxy, far removed from the hustle and bustle of the inner core and its hectic urbane flaring brilliance, orbits a small blue/green world around a rather weak star. Bathed in the anemic and almost subliminal light of its host, the little world spins and dances as it has done for billions of years. On this tiny mote of matter in the midst of the exploding and expanding dust storm of the cosmos, the world is home to a plethora of various life. One particular form of life...you...are part of a larger whole, but unique among that whole. You are the rarest of lifeforms. There are others similar, but none are YOU. They never will be. You bring something precious and unique to the Universe. There will never be another YOU again. What a wonderful thing to be. So, today I celebrate YOU...all of you on this grain of sand in the vast cosmic ocean. Ill never meet all of you, but, Im a better me for knowing that YOU existed. So, smile at everyone you meet. Acknowledge the fact that you are privileged and honored to be in the company of such a rare thing....a unique individual. Youll never come upon another like them again. Welcome to the tiny little mote we call Earth....Im glad you made it.
