Six Degrees Of Leather Communities. True Story. A month ago I saw a post by Facebook acquaintance Jim Anderson (Alberta, Canada), Jim posted that a friend of his in Alaska, Roni Lanier, was requesting assistance for her daughter Kate Lanier-Moylan. Seems Kate and a friend were backpacking overseas and, having just flown into Bangkok Kate had a nasty accident at the airport that required a bit of extensive medical care and recuperation time.(I cant imagine getting a lot of calming recuperation in a youth hostel). Financial assistance was needed to pay high medical bills. Unfortunately I am not in a place right now to offer that type of assistance. But.....I immediately thought of Onyxe Antara who had just moved from Phoenix, Arizona to Bangkok with her spouse. I contacted Onyxe and asked if she could possibly visit Kate in the hospital...to provide some emotional support and perhaps a bit of friendship. I should have realized that Onyxe would do more than that...because she is such a compassionate and giving person. Onyxe and her spouse moved Kate and her friend out of the hostel and into their apartment...a tranquil place to heal.....for a month. Kate departed Bangkok yesterday but she leaves behind two new friends...and yet another true story of the far reaching arms of our leather communities.
