Six Things You Probably Didnt Know About Me. 1. I was once, a long time ago, a hippie. When I first arrived in Los Angeles in 1970 I used to hang out on the weekends at a commune / health food coffee shop that played live music on the weekends. It was called Temple of the Rainbow and was located on Sunset Blvd...in Echo Park. 2. When visiting London in the mid 70s I almost took a job in a London coffee shop instead of going back home to Los Angeles. 3. When I was 9, several friends and I were exploring caves in Okinawa and found the remains of a Japanese soldier. We backed out of the cave and vowed to never tell anyone what we found as we were in a restricted area. 4. When I was 25 I shattered my right arm and had to have two plates and 18 pins put in it. It hurt...a lot...but I did learn to use my right hand again. 5. For 10 years I supported my two children and myself by writing for a local weekly newspaper. I won three first place awards for opinion columns and several awards for news stories. 6. I have a genetic disorder called Psuedoxanthoma Elasticum which I didnt discover until I was 55. What symptoms I did have until then had always been explained as other things. It wasnt until I started to lose my eyesight that a definitive diagnosis was given. Like if you want to be given your own list to devise.
