Six more people killed in a road accident This Nairobi-Nakuru road have killed people in their thousands. Some time I ask myself, is it the road that was poorly designed? More that 20 years ago, I attended a road safety workshop in Nakuru and an expert asserted that most Kenyan roads are designed to kill. Is it drivers who are not or are very poorly trained? What do you expect In a country where you dont need to be properly trained and examined as a driver? Is it the vehicles which have problems that make it hard to control? What do you expect where vehicles are not rigorously tested by independent authorities before being licensed to be on our roads? I believe it should be mandatory for all vehicles to be fully tested to be on he roads. Most vehicles havent met the most basis standards to be on public roads. Or is it just recklessness with the drivers? Most are just reckless if what I have experience with my friends is something to I by. Drivers attitude towards other road users is simply pathetic.
