Six of my most fond memories on the beginning of Trouw. I know the story is a bit long but hope you enjoy reading just as much as I enjoyed writing it down :-) 360 with Donato Dozzy - 2009 Our third 360 night in the new Trouw we invited Donato Dozzy for the first time to the Netherlands. We were so enthusiastic about his releases back then (and still are). I remember he was building and building his set and everybody got hypnotized. And at 1 point he played this track by The Mole. youtu.be/bZcs1W0aW8Q There was only 1 lightbulb that went on and although its a pretty deep record, the whole crowd started to scream. I still get goosebumps thinking about that special evening. I told Donato at dinner that i was in deeply in love with his Gol track. At the end of the night the sound was off and he was playing 1 more record. Combining vocal gospel house with techno. I remember i couldnt stop moving i had to dance. He was slowly breaking through and everybody was super excited. But before him THE GASLAMP KILLER was playing. Nobody heard from him back then. But boy oh boy he totally smashed the place so hard. I remember everybody was jumping and getting so crazy. Next level! And then afterward Flying Lotus had to do his live-set. And yes this was also really good but somehow Gaslamp Killer already drained all the energy from the room. He was the winner and it was one of the most energetic nights i ever experienced in Trouw. 360 with Monolake & Tarrik Barri - 2011 3D audioviusal performance that blew my mind. Everywhere screens and this super hi tech futuristic soundscape techno. youtu.be/m7NB093oZzQ Trouw op zondag with Dixon - 2010 It was the sunday of ADE. Everybody was super tired. I was hanging out with Darko Esser & Benny Rodrigues. Dixon was playing a solid set and there was a special vibe in the room. At one point he played this track and i remember it touched me deeply. Benny and me really wanted to know what it was so I went for an ID and it was the Michel Cleiss remix of Skunk Anansie. I still play it every now and then and still think of this night. 360 with isolée - 2009 I remember he was playing a crazy live-set full of surprises and twists. When he was done 1,5 hour later Twan was looking for him but couldnt find him. At one point a couple of people were all looking for Isolee.
