Six of us went to X2 last night for the world cup final and the SEHRI buffet they were offering as part of the deal. We were asked to pay 1125/- per head including tax upfront just as we took our seats. Around 15 minutes into the match and the place got really crowded. There were people on the floor, people on the stairs and people standing wherever they got space; thus showing that the management let more people enter than they had made arrangements for. Lassi and lemonade were served as part of the deal, half glass full only at the start of the match and despite asking for drinks for about 4/5 times, the waiters kept saying we are bringing, we are bringing, please wait and they never turned up again. The SEHRI buffet was opened at 12:30 am. Since it was too early to have sehri at that time, we kept on watching the match. However, it was at 2:00 am at the end of the matchs 90 minutes when we decided to proceed for the buffet. To our utter surprise, the manager standing at the entrance to the buffet hall told us that the buffet is closed!! When you are charging a prepayment for more than 1100/- for a buffet comprising a mere 5dishes and then saying that even that SEHRI buffet is closed at 2:00 am when the sehri itself ends at 3:25, i mean how worse can it get!! It is worth noting that the buffet timings were nowhere mentioned by the management niether were we verbally conveyed. Anyway, upon arguing, we forcibly entered the buffet hall and found that only two dishes out of the claimed five were being served. There were no desserts except for the halwa. The rice being served were the hard ones that are overcooked at the bottom of the cooking utensil. They did not stop there; just as we and others like us who were fooled into their SEHRI deal were eating, the waiters started picking up the dishes and cleaning the tables. Tea/coffee was included in the deal but was never served. Just as the match ended, the restaurant air conditioners were turned off and people were forced out of the place, denying them the opportunity to watch the winning celebrations. Hugely disappointed in the service. The standard of hospitality cannot get lower than this. Absurd and dissatisfying! (The deals advert is attached for you to see what they were actually claiming)
