Six years ago today, Bill had his first cardiac arrest. He was down for 45 minutes and an amazing code team fought against all odds to bring him back to us. Since then he has fought cardiomyopathy, congestive heart failure, vtach and six more full arrests. He has had 6 hospitalizations, a 13 hour ventricular ablation and is now 9 months at 1b status awaiting transplant. I celebrate him today for his amazing determination...his inspiring spirit..and his faith in God who has blessed us in so many ways. We are different people than we were six years ago. We understand how fragile this gift of life is. We love and value each other even more. We are thankful for our three kids, their partners and our treasured two granddaughters and grandson. We have also been blessed with great friends who are also like family. The prayers of countless people have brought us to today. It is my prayer that before too much longer, Bill will receive his gift of life and begin his journey to recovery. He is an amazing guy and I know that together we will work to make his donor proud. Happy Re-Birthday Bill. I love you...we all do!
