Sixth grade tech ed teacher, Dan Remus, led his students through an anti-bullying movement at Saint Francis Middle School using chalk on the sidewalks near the bus drop-off parking area on Friday, October 10th for all students to see as they left school for the weekend. Dans idea came from a Minnesota-native blogging website called MinneMama Adventures. As quoted on her site, On Friday, October 10, we (and hopefully YOU) are going to spread kindness by covering the sidewalks of school grounds with positive words, phrases, quotes and images that speak of love, peace, hope and acceptance with the intention of bringing smiles to kids’ faces after a long week or challenging them to pay a beautiful act of kindness forward. And, hey, who doesn’t love playing with sidewalk chalk?! Students enjoyed the day brightener as they headed out to find their bus. The positivity it exuded was inspiring
