** #SkillsWestExpo2014 in the spotlight ** FLAIR FOR FASHION Jessica Jones is about to enter the fashion industry with broad credentials. Ms Jones, 25, is in her final year of an advanced diploma in fashion and textiles at Polytechnic West. She graduated with a fine arts degree from the University of WA in 2011. “I love being able to draw on my fine arts background,” Ms Jones said. “I spoke to people in the industry and they recommended going to Polytechnic West.” She was told it taught students “everything from the ground up”. Ms Jones is a finalist in this year’s evening wear category of the Student Runway event at Perth Fashion Week from September 17 to 22.
