Skin We really must have skin you know, it keeps us in one piece Cause if we didnt, wed fall apart and the vultures have a feast It keep our souls inside us, held in by our skin It stops i wandering all around and keeps the buggar in Theres a lot to be said about our skin, helps us stay mainly in one place Its waterproof and you can draw on it, just like a plastic case Without this little plastic case wed be scattered on the ground Bits heading here and there, the rest left in a sorry mound You can scrub it, you can shine it, you can knock it black and blue You can take the sun and make it brown and thats really good for you They say the suns not good though, it leaves rashes on the skin I tell you now, without this shield, youd be in a baking tin Skin shows your moods from day to day, if youre happy see it glow If youve had a fright or just plain ill, its white just like the snow And if someone’s in an awful mood, literally going off their head You can tell from their tell-tale skin as it goes a shiny red Purple is another colour, it means you are out of breath Purple or not, relax a while, or you are sure to meet thy death So you can like it or lump it and of this there is no doubt That anyone living without their skin, would be living inside out!
