Skip to 2:26 to watch how they just roll off cliffs. The Dung - TopicsExpress

Skip to 2:26 to watch how they just roll off cliffs. The Dung Beetle rolling the Ball was seen as a representation of the force that moved the Sun across the sky. And the Sun going up and down was seen as a Symbol of Death and Rebirth. Death and Rebirth were also seen in the Dung Beetle because it laid eggs in the Dung Ball, then they would hatch and grow in to Beetles, then make a new ball and start over again. It is well known that the Egyptian model for life and death was based on the Sun, but I personally think that the Tombs were made as a representation of the Dung ball. The Pharaoh was put in the Tomb and Sarcophagus so that he could let his soul hatch. It is also possible that Dung Beetles taught us how to make wheels. https://youtube/watch?v=I1RHmSm36aE
