Skipping breakfast is a habit that is all too common among TEENAGE girls (plus, teenage boys). But study after study continues to find it’s an unhealthy one, strongly tied to OVEREATING later in the day, weight gain, and OBESITY. Moreover, it can also lead to PROBLEMS in the CLASSROOM. Studies show that students who skip breakfast end up missing more school, are less attentive and are more likely to behave POORLY in class, and tend to score LOWER in math and other subjects. So what is it about breakfast that makes it so IMPORTANT for adolescence?
