Skull Crusher Technique, Tricep Gains Never been a huge fan off these as they have always irritated my elbows but yesterday they felt spot on! If you ego lift with this exercise the technique goes out the window and it will just turn into a horrible elbow wrecking mess! Im all for tension so my way is slightly different so here is how I do it. I raise the bar straight over head, then I lower the bar back as if I was a about to complete A pullover. At the mid point I stop and lock my upper arms into that position. So when I complete a rep the bar is traveling back wards at an angle and not directly over head. When you lock out each rep in the traditional manner over head there is no tension on the triceps. Complete them like this And there is no rest for you triceps through out the hole set. Once again I added a little ten second hold at the fully stretched position just to wake up the triceps And make them burn a little!
