This pseudo democracy is characterized by the unhealthy attributes of deceit and immense and deeply rooted corruption. The elected officials sound like they were elected by the people and are beholden to them, but the reality is that they were selected by certain ‘few’ people, who also conspired to get them into office in most cases, irrespective of the desires of the people as indicated during voting, and when they get into office, they report to those that schemed them into such offices and do their bidding, which always involves immense corruption, blatant stealing of the commonwealth and bare faced nepotism.
