Slain militants mission was to target Yatri’s:Army Army Friday claimed that five militants killed in Preng encounter were in Valley with a mission to target Amarnath pilgrims. General Officer Commading, Victor Force, R.Nimborkar after the encounter told reporters that the five Hizb slain militants had received directions from their bosses across the boarder to target Amarnath Yatris. “They could not succeed in their mission as we had deployed fool proof security for the safety of the pilgrims,” he said. Nimborkar said that these militants were active in Valley from September 2012 and their only mission was to disrupt the Amarnath Yatra. “Militants lack the support of local people here and it is the basic reason that they prefer to live in forest areas than to mix with local population,”
