💫✨💫✨💫✨💫✨💫 ✨ Sleeping Azkar✨ 1⃣When retiring to his bed every night, the Prophet sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam would hold his palms together, spit (A form of spitting comprising mainly of air with little spittle) in them, recite the last three chapters (Soorah Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, An-Nas) of the Quran and then wipe over his entire body as much as possible with his hands, beginning with his head and face and then all parts of the body, he would do this three times. [Bukhari :5017] 2⃣The Prophet sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam also said: “When you are about to sleep recite ayat-al-kursee (The verse of the foot-stool, chapter 2:255) till the end of the verse for there will remain over you a protection from Allah and no devil will draw near to you until morning.” [Bukhari 2311] 💫Allahu laa ilaha illa Huwa, Al-Hayyul-Qayyum. La ta’khudhuhu sinatun wa la nawm, lahu maa fis-samawati wa maa fil-‘ard. Man dhal-ladhi yashfa’u ‘indahu illa bi-idhnih. Ya’lamu ma baina aidihim wa ma khalfahum, wa la yuhituna bi shai’im-min ‘ilmihi illa bima shaa’a. Wasi’a kursiyuhus-samawati wal ard, wa la ya’uduhu hifdhuhuma Wa Huwal ‘Aliyyul-Adheem. 3⃣The Prophet sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam also said: “Whoever recites the last two verses of Soorat al-Baqarah at night, those two verses shall be sufficient for him (i.e. protect him from all that can cause him harm).” [Bukhari:4008] 💫Soorah al-Baqarah verses 285 and 286: ✨Amana arrasoolu bima onzila ilayhi min rabbihi walmu’minoona kullun amana billahi wamala-ikatihi wa kutubihi wa rusulihi la nufarriqu bayna ahadin min rusulihi waqaloo sami’na wa ata’na ghufranaka rabbana wa-ilayka almaseer The Messenger (Muhammad) believes in what has been sent down to him from his Lord, and (so do) the believers. Each one believes in Allah, His Angels, His Books, and His Messengers. They say, “We make no distinction between one another of His Messengers” - and they say, “We hear, and we obey. (We seek) Your Forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the return (of all).” (2:285) ✨La yukallifu Allahu nafsan illa wus’aha laha ma kasabat wa ‘alayha ma iktasabat rabbana la tu-akhithna in naseena aw akhta’na rabbana wala tahmil ‘alayna isran kama hamaltahu ‘ala allatheena min qablina rabbana wala tuhammilna ma la taqata lana bihi wa’fu ‘anna waghfir lana warhamna anta mawlana fansurna ‘alaal qawmi alkafireen Allah burdens not a person beyond his scope. He gets reward for that (good) which he has earned, and he is punished for that (evil) which he has earned. “Our Lord! Punish us not if we forget or fall into error, our Lord! Lay not on us a burden like that which You did lay on those before us (Jews and Christians); our Lord! Put not on us a burden greater than we have strength to bear. Pardon us and grant us Forgiveness. Have mercy on us. You are our Maula (Patron, Supporter and Protector, etc.) and give us victory over the disbelieving people. (2:286)[Bukhaari:4008] 4⃣If one of you rises from his bed and then returns to it he should dust it with the edge of his garment three times for he does not know what has occurred in his absence and when he lies down he should supplicate: 💫بِاسْمِكَ رَبِّي وَضَعْتُ جَنْبِي، وَبِكَ أَرْفَعُهُ، فَإِنْ أَمْسَكْتَ نَفْسِيفَارْحَمْهَا، وَإِنْ أَرْسَلْتَهَا فَاحْفَظْهَا بِمَا تَحْفَظُ بِه ِِ عِبَادَكَ الصَّالِحِيْن.َ 💫Bismika rabbee wa da’tu janbee wabika arfa’uh, fa-in amsakta nafsee far hamha wa-in arsaltaha fahfath-ha bima tahfathu bihi ‘ibaadakas-saaliheen. ✨“In Your name my Lord, I lie down and in Your name I rise, so if You should take my soul then have mercy upon it, and if You should return my soul then protect it in the manner You do so with Your righteous servants.” [Bukhaari:6320, Muslim :2714] 5⃣ Say: “O Allah, verily You have created my soul and You shall take it’s life, to You belongs it’s life and death. If You should keep my soul alive then protect it, and if You should take it’s life then forgive it. O Allah, I ask You to grant me good health.” [Muslim :2712, Ahmad 2/79] 💫اللَّهمَّ إِنَّكَ خَلَقْتَ نَفْسِي وَأَنْتَ تَوَفَّاهَا لَكَ مَمَاتُهَا وَمَحْيَاهَا، إِنْأَحْيَيْتَهَا فَاحْفَظْهَا، وَإِنْ أَمَتَّهَا فَاغْفِرْ لَهَا. اللَّهمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ العَافِيَة.َ 💫Allaahumma innaka khalaqta nafsee wa anta tawaffahaa, laka mamatuhaa wa mahyaha in ahyaytaha fahfathaa, wa-in amattaha faghfirlaha. Allaahumma innee as-alukal ‘aafiyah. 6⃣ The Prophet sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam would place his right hand under his cheek when about to sleep and supplicate: 💫اللَّهمَّ قِنِي عَذَابَكَ يَوْمَ تَبْعَثُ عِبَادَكَ. (ثَلاثا)ً 💫Allaahumma qini adhabaka yawma tab athu ibadak. (three times) [Aboo Dawood 4/311, At-Tirmidhee 3/143. See also As-Saheehah nr. 2754, 6/584] 7⃣Say: “In Your name O Allah, I live and die.” 💫بِاسْمِكَ اللَّهمَّ أَمُوْتُ وَأَحْيَا. 💫Bismika-Allaahumma amootu wa ahyaa. [Bukhari:6314, Muslim 2711] 8⃣The Prophet sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam was addressing Ali and Fatimah -may Allah be pleased with them when they approached him for a servant and said: “Shall I not direct you both to something better than a servant? When you go to bed say: 💫Subhanal-Lāh. (thirty-three times) سُبْحَان َاللَّهِ. ثَلاثا ًوَثَلاثِيْن 💫Al-Ĥamdu Lillāh. (thirty-three times) الحَمْدُ للهِ. ثَلاثا ًوَثَلاثِيْن 💫Allāhu ‘Akbar. (thirty-four times) اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ أَرْبَعاوَثَلاثِيْن … for that is indeed better for you both than a servant.” [Bukhari:6318, Muslim: 2727] 9⃣ Say: “O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and the exalted throne, our Lord and Lord of all things, Splitter of the seed and the date stone, Revealer of the Tawrah, the Injeel and the Furqan, I take refuge in You from the evil of all things You shall seize by the forelock (i.e. You have total mastery over). O Allah, You are The First so there is nothing before You and You are The Last so there is nothing after You.You are Aththahir so there is nothing above You and You are Al-Batin so there is nothing closer than You. Settle our debt for us and spare us from poverty.” [Muslim:2713] 💫اللَّهمَّ رَبَّ السَّمَوَاتِ السَّبْعِ وَرَبَّ العَرْشِ العَظِيْمِ، رَبَّنَا وَرَبَّ كُلِّ شَيء، ٍ فَالِقَ الحَبِّ وَالنَّوَى، وَمُنَزِّلَ التَّوْرَاةِ وَالإِنْجِيْلِ، وَالفُرْقَانِ، أَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ شَيءٍ أَنْتَ آخِذ ٌ بِنَاصِيَتِهِ. اللَّهمَّ أَنْتَ الأَوَّل ُفَلَيْسَ قَبْلَكَ شَيء، ٌ وَأَنْتَ الآخِرُ فَلَيْسَ بَعْدَكَ شَيء، ٌ وَأَنْتَ الظَّاهِرُ فَلَيْسَ فَوْقَكَ شَيء، ٌ وَأَنْتَ البَاطِنُ فَلَيْسَ دُوْنَكَ شَيء، ٌاقْضِ عَنَّا الدَّيْنَ وَأَغْنِنَا مِنَ الفَقْر. 💫Allaahumma Rabbas-samaawatis-sab’, wa-Rabbal-‘arshil adheem, Rabbana wa Rabba kulli shayin, faliqal-habbi wannawaa, wa munazzilat-tawraa, wal-injeeli walfurqaan, a’oodhu bika min sharri kulli shayin anta akhithun binaasiyatih. Allaahumma antal awwalu, falaysa qablaka shay, wa antal -akhiru, falaysa ba’daka shay, wa antadh-dhahiru falaysa fawqaka shay, wa antal-batinu falaysa doonaka shay, iqdi ‘annad-dayna wa aghnina minal-faqr. 🔟. Say: “All praise is for Allah, Who fed us and gave us drink, and Who is sufficient for us and has sheltered us, for how many have none to suffice them or shelter them.” [Muslim :2715] 💫الحَمْدُ للهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنَا وَسَقَانَا، وَكَفَانَا، وَآوَانَا، فَكَمْ مِمَّنْ لا كَافِيَ لَه ُُ وَلا مُؤْوِي. 💫Alhamdulillaahil-lathee at’amana wasaqana, wakafana, wa-awana, fakam mimman laa kafiyalahu wala mu’wee. ➡. Say: “O Allah, Knower of the seen and the unseen, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Lord and Sovereign of all things I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except You. I take refuge in You from the evil of my soul and from the evil and shirk of the devil, and from committing wrong against my soul or bringing such upon another Muslim.”[Abu Dawood:317/4-Thirmidhi:142/3] 💫اللَّهمَّ عَالِمَ الغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ فَاطِرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ رَبَّ كُلِّ شَيء ٍ وَمَلِيْكَهُ، أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لا إِلَهََ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ، أَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ نَفْسِي، وَمِنْ شَرِّ الشَّيْطَانِ وَشِرْكِهِ، وَأَنْ أَقْتَرِف َ عَلَى نَفْسِي سُوْءاً أَوْ أَجُرَّهُ إِلَى مُسْلِم. 💫Allaahumma ‘alimal-ghaybi wash-shahaadah, fatiras-samaawati wal-ard, rabba kulli shayin wa maalikah, ashhadu an laa ilaha illa ant, a’oodhu bika min sharri nafsee wa min sharrish-shaytaani wa shirkih, wa-an aqtarifa ‘ala nafsee soo-an aw ajurrahu ila muslim. ➡The Prophet sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam never used to sleep until he had recited Sura As-Sajdah (chapter 32) and Sura Al-Mulk (chapter 67).’ [At-Tirmidhee: 3404/ Sahih al jameh: 255] 🌹تذكير بقراءة سورة الملك🌹 بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ الْمُلْكُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ الَّذِي خَلَقَ الْمَوْتَ وَالْحَيَاةَ لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ أَيُّكُمْ أَحْسَنُ عَمَلا وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْغَفُورُ الَّذِي خَلَقَ سَبْعَ سَمَاوَاتٍ طِبَاقًا مَّا تَرَى فِي خَلْقِ الرَّحْمَنِ مِن تَفَاوُتٍ فَارْجِعِ الْبَصَرَ هَلْ تَرَى مِن فُطُورٍ ثُمَّ ارْجِعِ الْبَصَرَ كَرَّتَيْنِ يَنقَلِبْ إِلَيْكَ الْبَصَرُ خَاسِئاً وَهُوَ حَسِيرٌ وَلَقَدْ زَيَّنَّا السَّمَاء الدُّنْيَا بِمَصَابِيحَ وَجَعَلْنَاهَا رُجُومًا لِّلشَّيَاطِينِ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لَهُمْ عَذَابَ السَّعِيرِ وَلِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِرَبِّهِمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ إِذَا أُلْقُوا فِيهَا سَمِعُوا لَهَا شَهِيقًا وَهِيَ تَفُورُ تَكَادُ تَمَيَّزُ مِنَ الْغَيْظِ كُلَّمَا أُلْقِيَ فِيهَا فَوْجٌ سَأَلَهُمْ خَزَنَتُهَا أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ نَذِيرٌ قَالُوا بَلَى قَدْ جَاءَنَا نَذِيرٌ فَكَذَّبْنَا وَقُلْنَا مَا نَزَّلَ اللَّهُ مِن شَيْءٍ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلاَّ فِي ضَلالٍ كَبِيرٍ وَقَالُوا لَوْ كُنَّا نَسْمَعُ أَوْ نَعْقِلُ مَا كُنَّا فِي أَصْحَابِ السَّعِيرِ فَاعْتَرَفُوا بِذَنبِهِمْ فَسُحْقًا لِّأَصْحَابِ السَّعِيرِ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَخْشَوْنَ رَبَّهُم بِالْغَيْبِ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌ وَأَجْرٌ كَبِيرٌ وَأَسِرُّوا قَوْلَكُمْ أَوِ اجْهَرُوا بِهِ إِنَّهُ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ أَلا يَعْلَمُ مَنْ خَلَقَ وَهُوَ اللَّطِيفُ الْخَبِيرُ هُوَ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الأَرْضَ ذَلُولا فَامْشُوا فِي مَنَاكِبِهَا وَكُلُوا مِن رِّزْقِهِ وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ أَأَمِنتُم مَّن فِي السَّمَاء أَن يَخْسِفَ بِكُمُ الأَرْضَ فَإِذَا هِيَ تَمُورُ أَمْ أَمِنتُم مَّن فِي السَّمَاء أَن يُرْسِلَ عَلَيْكُمْ حَاصِبًا فَسَتَعْلَمُونَ كَيْفَ نَذِيرِ وَلَقَدْ كَذَّبَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِ أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا إِلَى الطَّيْرِ فَوْقَهُمْ صَافَّاتٍ وَيَقْبِضْنَ مَا يُمْسِكُهُنَّ إِلاَّ الرَّحْمَنُ إِنَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ بَصِيرٌ أَمَّنْ هَذَا الَّذِي هُوَ جُندٌ لَّكُمْ يَنصُرُكُم مِّن دُونِ الرَّحْمَنِ إِنِ الْكَافِرُونَ إِلاَّ فِي غُرُورٍ أَمَّنْ هَذَا الَّذِي يَرْزُقُكُمْ إِنْ أَمْسَكَ رِزْقَهُ بَل لَّجُّوا فِي عُتُوٍّ وَنُفُورٍ أَفَمَن يَمْشِي مُكِبًّا عَلَى وَجْهِهِ أَهْدَى أَمَّن يَمْشِي سَوِيًّا عَلَى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ قُلْ هُوَ الَّذِي أَنشَأَكُمْ وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ السَّمْعَ وَالأَبْصَارَ وَالأَفْئِدَةَ قَلِيلا مَّا تَشْكُرُونَ قُلْ هُوَ الَّذِي ذَرَأَكُمْ فِي الأَرْضِ وَإِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَى هَذَا الْوَعْدُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ قُلْ إِنَّمَا الْعِلْمُ عِندَ اللَّهِ وَإِنَّمَا أَنَا نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ فَلَمَّا رَأَوْهُ زُلْفَةً سِيئَتْ وُجُوهُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَقِيلَ هَذَا الَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِ تَدَّعُونَ قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ أَهْلَكَنِيَ اللَّهُ وَمَن مَّعِيَ أَوْ رَحِمَنَا فَمَن يُجِيرُ الْكَافِرِينَ مِنْ عَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ قُلْ هُوَ الرَّحْمَنُ آمَنَّا بِهِ وَعَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْنَا فَسَتَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ هُوَ فِي ضَلالٍ مُّبِينٍ قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ أَصْبَحَ مَاؤُكُمْ غَوْرًا فَمَن يَأْتِيكُم بِمَاء مَّعِين 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹 ➡“If you take to your bed, then perform ablution, lie on your right side and then supplicate: “O Allah, I submit my soul unto You, and I entrust my affair unto You, and I turn my face towards You, and I totally rely on You, in hope and fear of You.Verily there is no refuge nor safe haven from You except with You. I believe in Your Book which You have revealed and in Your Prophet whom You have sent.” …If you then die, you will die upon the fitrah.[Bukhari: 6313/ Muslim:2710] 💫اللَّهمَّ أَسْلَمْتُ نَفْسِي إِلَيْكَ، وَفَوَّضْتُ أَمْري إِلَيْكَ، وَوَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِي إِلَيْكَ، وَأَلْجَأْْتُ ظَهْرِي إِلَيْكَ، رَغْبَة ً وَرَهْبَة ً إِلَيْكَ، لا مَلْجَأَ وَلا مَنْجَا مِنْكَ إِلاَّ إِلَيْكَ، آمَنْت ُ بِكِتَابِكَ الَّذِي أَنْزَلْتَ وَبِنَبِيِّكَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلْت.َ 💫Allaahumma aslamtu nafsee ilayk, wa fawwadhu amree ilayk, wa wajahtu wajhee ilayk, wa-alja’tu thahree ilayk, raghbatan wa rahbatan ilayk, laa maljaa walaa manja minka ila ilayk, amantu bi kitabikal-lathee anzalt, wa binabiyyikal lathee arsalt. ✨💫✨💫✨💫✨💫✨ 💡Ref: Hisnul Muslim💡
