Sleepless nights are all to common for me. I struggle with my thoughts, my burdens and I desperately try to remember each request for prayer as well. Many dear friends on mine and the ones I deeply care for are all in pain and it overwhelms me as i desperately want to see their burdens lifted, their prayers answered. The Bible says that the effectual, fervent prayer of a man avails much and it makes me wonder just how effective I am because the harder I pray the more burdensome the world becomes. But then Im reminded that we are in a battle and that battle is ending soon. The victory is already ours. The finish line is near and the reward of our efforts will be presented to us by our Lord Himself. The burdens we face now will one day be no more and life eternal will be ours. I look forward to that glorious day. Look forward to a time when the weight of sin is lifted, my loved ones suffer no more, and insomnia is a thing of the past. Oh what glorious day...
