Slight detour on my road trip. Oil light went on in my car at about 5 p.m. Sunday in Arkansas and nobodys open that can check it out, so I decided to hang out in Hot Springs for the night. One of my favorite towns. Usually stay at the Arlington, but tried something different, cheaper. Its the Springs Hotel next door, formerly the Downtowner. Nice corner room with balcony for $69, but I walked into a huge spider web on the balcony and the TV doesnt work. Good Internet is all I need. Tomorrow Ill hike the Hot Springs National Park, take a mineral soak at the Buckstaff, get the oil changed and make the 7 hour drive back to Austin. This was a good idea.
