Slipper deserves all he gets BUT SO DO THE OTHER CHEATING THIEVES IN CANBERRA INCLUDING OUR PM AND OTHERS. Slipper is the scapegoat being punished for turning on the LNP. The corruption in our political system is as bad as anywhere and we see politicians taking unfair and dishonest advantage routinely ... and when they are caught out they are allowed to just pay back their dishonest claims and it is all swept under the carpet .... disgusting double standards. We need an independent administrative watchdog like the ACCC BUT this one would be solely dedicated to catching out and prosecuting cheats in politics. For those who are interested a research will show Tony Abbott claimed almost a million dollars in expenses for the year 2012 -2013. Tony Abbott was able to pay back most of the wrongly claimed expenses - a privelege Peter Slipper was denied.
