Slowly but shorly Full Protos are being eliminated, wow thats a surprise said no one ever... the Duopoly of honda and Yamaha will come to an end and about time too, ok technically it was 3 but you cant count ducati as it really was only running with CRTs. There is no way know in hell that Dorna didnt see this coming and truth being it probably was pushing to make it happen behind the scenes too, hence the new upspec ECU, honda has had it their way since Adam was a puppy and dictated almost every outcome politically in GP racing. A bit like ducati in WSBK did forever until recent times. A thinking person would probably also work out Suzuki has been wise to this outcome for some time, again probably why they are not back till 2015, considering they tested all last year with no regulation on amount of testing they should be very close to the money for their return as front runner in a the new top class that is inevitable to happen. Just how many more brands will come out of the closet as this year nears its completion is anyones guess. I suspect with Suzuki maybe 2 or even 3 more. Kawasaki-BMW-MV is my speculation or just wishful thinking, all I do know is this, as an avid fan of the sport I have zero allegiance to any brand out there today and Im clearly not the only one with this. Protos will die like 250s and 125s 2 strokes did, and all of the purist said the racing will suffer, clearly it has only benefited so proven wrong! What is my prediction for what will happen this year on track? MM will win a record amount of races in a season on his way to his 2nd WC, last year was his learning year, god help the rest of them this year as this kid just gets better and better, I believe the podium will be filled race after race with Spaniards and thats the only national anthem we will hear all year. Honda will flick Pedro at years end and VR wont get resigned with Yamaha, so take your kids to the MotoGP just to see VR in his swansong year, its genuine GP history and the last year of a legend, I have vivid memories of seeing Ago race in his last year and will never forget it. The brothers Espargro will prob fill the empty seats and Pedro will prob go to Suzuki, RDP wont get the other bike either, my bets Scott Redding. I think Bautista and Bradl are on thin ice too. Ianone and Crutchlow will stay put and Dovi will be looking elsewhere.. As for WC 1. MM 2. JL 3. DP 4.VR Then pick the Espargaro for the next 2... Of course this is just pissing in the wind and who the hell knows! Moto3.. Jack Miller for WC and into Moto2 next year, have watched Jack up close for many years now and the kids the real deal and the next best thing to come out of Oz and a genuine nice young bloke with it.. GO JACKASS!!
