Slowly going through Imams things. Great books on teaching Muslims about Jesus. Studies on Islam to help Christians better understand Islamic teaching and culture. Great stuff. Then the stunning things. Police reports. Where Imam reports Christians kidnapped, evidently right in front of him. Taken away by three men in a van, a young lady disappears and is never heard of again. Amina was her name. Another story where Imam, has another lady missing and a body behind her apartment is found burned with oil. We later discovered he was taken and questioned about sharing her faith. They found a bible on her and struck her with a machete in the head. The neighbors admitted watching her bleed to death. They were afraid to go out and help her at night, as the radicals might still be watching to see if she had friends. Imam has notes from a bible study. His prayer journal. Even his Islamic wedding certificate. Pictures of his wife that abandoned him and the faith, in full burka. Pictures of friends when they were all still in Islam. Wearing beards and kofias. (Muslim hats). Everyone in the picture later came to Jesus. All but two are dead. Imam is the only one to die of natural causes. Hope to know the date of the service for Imam today. Leaving that decision to the Ethiopians. I have enough to do. Imam is gone. That is only his body. I am blessed to be able to go through his things and learn more about my brother. I do not take it lightly.
