Smackwater Jacks on Saturday night was honoured to Have one of the Gold Medalist in the 2014 Winter Olympic Womens Hockey !! Brianne Jenner # 19 was in the Area with her extended family celebrating with her cousins and Aunts and Uncles. As it turned out she brought her gold medal along for the family to view . Brianne scored a pivotal goal in Canada’s dramatic Olympic women’s hockey gold-medal overtime victory over the United States in Sochi, Russia In Sochi, Jenner was still the second-youngest player on the Canadian squad. Yet, with Canada trailing the United States 2-0 and less than four minutes remaining in regulation time, the 22-year-old was still receiving a regular shift. Pointless in the tournament but still very much noticeable when she was on the ice, Jenner provided the spark Canada so desperately needed when she fired a shot that deflected off an American defender and into the net with 3:26 to go, kick-starting Canada’s rally. Brianne Parents Dave and Brenda are from Erin On ( Brampton are area ) and Brianne is now in school at Cornell University playing NCAA Hockey . Thanks so very much for sharing your story with some of our Patrons Last Night and we all hope we will see you in 4 years in Pyeongchang, South Korea. Brad Oke And Staff of Smackwater Jacks
