Small home theater install. Home owner being a cheap ass says no thanks Ill install everything myself. A week later calls back saying it sounds funny and I have no bass. All connections are marked and connected properly at each speaker includind subwoofer. Come to find out all connections at the receiver are all backwards... example center channel is connected as sub rears are connected as fronts and sub is connected into one of the video out ports. Also found spool after spool after spool of the cheapest speaker wire cut and taped together to make distance with random spot lights wired in line of speakers. 6 months later. Owner killed the receiver and blames my install. He had 5 1000w RMS 4 ohm car audio speakers and a jl w7 2000w RMS woofer on a 8 ohm 800 w amp. Checked current pull for all speakers combined for the hell of it on a test amp. Current was 4 times what the 8 ohm could push. Found more melted wire then I ever cared to see.
