Small rant. Look bodybuilding, bikini and physique is not a sport. I respect the discipline but do not even begin to tell me it’s a sport. Yes, you train but for aesthetics, not much different than a beauty pageant. Like I said, I respect the work and discipline, but you are not an athlete. You in no way can compare what you do to a SPORT like weightlifting (that’s what it’s called not Olympic lifting), wrestling, Jiu-jitsu, Judo, Strongman, triathletes, boxing/MMA and the list goes on. I’m glad you can starve yourself, dye your ski, to get on stage and be judged by how you look but come on. Ranting about your diet and your posing coach (seriously a posing coach? Someone is making bank from this idiotic career field). Calling yourself an athlete just because you workout is like Tom Cruse calling himself a soldier cause he plays one on film. And the idiot actually compared himself to one. I recently traveled back to Colorado and was looking for other places to train during my down time. I just wanted a Gym in a certain area, the contact instead of just saying ‘hey, here’s a gym’ the guy with ego driven over self worth proceeds to tell me “he can fit me in and work with me.” Excuse me while I laugh till it hurts then go train at the OTC you globo gym moron. Ahhmmm but I digress. Yes in REAL sports we have to often make weight too, but then must attempt to perform usually some form of super human ability against an opponent, or lift unconceivable amounts of weight, and take a beating in one form or another that most likely is taking minutes off our life expectancy. And this acronym before your name looks stupid. Especially NPC, call it what it really means ‘Amateur’ and there’s nothing wrong with it but there are a gozillian organizations . . . no one cares; or cares about your contest prep. WHAT PREP-real athletes read or hear this and laugh till they pee themselves. If you’re a professional that means “it’s your profession” not what you win a few bucks at and have to work three day jobs to do. Why do you think the Olympic path is so hard to follow? You can make a living! FACT: we know you don’t make enough to live on in bikini or figure or physique even the top bodybuilders don’t make their sole living on it (and come on Guys Physique? Just wear shirts that say you can’t squat and call it good). I’ve been a professional athlete in a sport where you barely scratch a living, you’re not fooling anyone. Go after it if its your passion but don’t rant on how much of an athlete you are, a bikini, figure or physique or bodybuilder being called a ‘Top Level’ athlete is a spit in the face to likes of Lydia Valentine, Marzena Karpinca, Travis Stevens, Rhonda Rousey, Jordan Holm, Nicole Deboom, and countless other REAL athletes. Whepppewwwww . . . . Better
