Small rant ahead: My Moms house needs to be sold. Sounds simple in theory. But when you add in just how dysfunctional my family is.... *sigh* I seriously want to take a cast iron skillet and just start knocking heads. My oldest Aunt (also on the deed) refuses to talk to me. My cousin in law who is in touch with the Title Co. refuses to speak with me. The Title company has NO IDEA WHAT TO DO until someone speaks to me... So, I contacted a lawyer. Guess what? NOW ITS EVEN MORE FREAKING COMPLICATED. So, why wont my Aunt or Cousin in law speak with me? I HAVE NO FREAKING IDEA!!! Maybe I have cooties. Maybe I did something horrible in a past life. I tried for years after Mama died to form a relationship with my oldest aunt but she refused to take my calls or return my voicemails. Even when I was calling about the house. I just... grrrrrrrrr. And people wonder why I prefer to live like a hermit. This whole thing is just stupid beyond imagining.
